Before & After: Professional Editing
Orange Beach Family Photography specializes in professional beach photography. Our professional beach photographers take great care to make each photo the best it can be in a multitude of ways, however, not all edits are available for every image. Below are just a few samples of the many edits we offer!

In addition to our standard edits, we can also provide unique effects to select photographs such as adding color to the sky by adding overlays in Adobe Photoshop. Due to the ever changing landscape of the beach and the poses chosen for specific groups, overlays are not always possible or well-suited every image and will be determined by your beach photographer.

The primary subject in the after image sports a naturally brighter enhanced smile with teeth whitening, reduced under-eye darkness and wrinkle line reduction. We also mattified the shiniest spots on her face in the edited image.

Beach breezes can be tricky and wreak havoc on your hair on occasion. Whenever possible, we are sure to go the extra step to minimize or erase any distracting fly-away strands such as the ones on top of this subject's head in the skyline and stray strand near her mouth. She also sports a naturally brighter enhanced smile with teeth whitening and under-eye darkness and wrinkle line reduction. Additionally, the shiniest spots on her face are mattified in the edited image.

Thousands of people flock to our beautiful beaches every year, and while we do our best to eliminate them and other unwanted background objects, some of our best shots can still catch these distractions. We are careful to remove as much background clutter and beach goers as possible to keep the focus on you.

We like to keep our beaches clean and pristine and promptly remove debris or trash from your photos. As it is illegal to enter the protected sand dunes, we edit out any trapped trash such as plastic bags from the sea oats like in the photograph above. We also encourage our guests to brush off sand, but sometimes it can still be a little sticky (especially for ladies who wear lotion on the session which we discourage in our list of Do's and Don'ts to help you prepare for your beach photography session) so we make an effort to minimize and remove excessive traces of sand from skin.
While we certainly do remove some sand such as in the previous example, there are also instances where we believe it can add to the desired effect of an image. This photo is an example of a delivered picture where the sand shown on the boy's leg was intentionally left as we believe it adds to the enjoyment and emotion of the photo.

Special combinations with different Adobe Photoshop Action Packs allow us as photographers to use multiple filters, gradients, and layers to achieve a desired creative effect. Her eyes are also brightened and sharpened in this image.

For guests with glasses, use of our fill-flash can show a foggy or bright flash reflection. Our experienced beach photographers take angles into consideration during your beach photography session to reduce any glare and finish the job in editing software if anything can be done to fix the reflection and remain natural-looking. As in this picture, we also help smooth and perfect skin by reducing acne spots and scarring.
